When we sew together, there’s no end to what we can create—or the difference we can make. Join us as we sew brighter days for foster children in our community. Often left with only a plastic bag to tote their belongings, these kids deserve a little sunshine. We’d love your help as we sew drawstring bags using Baby Lock machines to benefit children in our area.
Sew In-Store
Throughout the month of April, our locations will be hosting in-store sewing events where you can sign up to come and learn how to make these adorable drawstring bags. Due to COVID gathering restrictions, all of our sessions will be extremely limited on the number of individuals we can have at one time. Registration is required for this free event. Please contact the store directly to register.

Sew At Home
Work better with just a set of instructions? We got that for you. There are two different ways you can help!
- Stop on by and pick up a supply kit. Sew the bag and return it to us for donation! (Limited Kit availability. Please contact your individual store to find out if they have any available before heading down to the store.)
- Use your own supplies to make a bag and bring it in for donation. You’ll receive a $5 DFW gift certificate for your first donation as a thank you!
Patterns and Instructions
We’ve included the instructions provided by Baby Lock for this drawstring bag. There are instructions for sergers as well as sewing machines. Please choose the instructions that are appropriate for the machine you’ll be using.
